Meet ‘109-Year-Young’ Odisha Man Who Opted Organic Farming For Survival
Berhampur: Age is indeed just a number for 109-year-old Baishnab Pradhan of Khojapalli village in Khallikote area of Odisha’s Ganjam district.
The centenarian, who resides with his 90-year-old wife after being estranged by two sons, has been resorting to organic farming to make ends meet. The elderly man cultivates vegetables on a patch of farmland near his house.
Needless to say, Pradhan is able to carry out the daily chores conveniently at this age.
Monthly old age pension by the state government and 10 kg rice per month obtained by the couple through Food Security Act ration cards has also aided the duo’s survival.
